Newhall is one of the four unincorporated communities (along with Valencia, Saugus, and Canyon Country) that make up the Incorporated City of Santa Clarita. It is a small sized, low density, suburban area with tract style communities along the Southwest and Northeast sections and custom acreage homes throughout the central section. The neighborhood is bordered by Valencia, Saugus, and Canyon Country neighborhoods to the North and (5) and (14) freeways extending across South, West, and East. It is also located over 35 miles Northwest of Downtown Los Angeles.
The area consists of quiet single family residences built predominantly between 1940-2000. There is a limited range of housing styles which consists of mainly Traditional and Ranch style homes.
