Commerce is an incorporated city within the County of Los Angeles. It is a small city that is predominately industrial use, however, has a small residential community throughout the center North section known as Bandini. The city is bordered by East Los Angeles neighborhood to the North and West, City of Bell Gardens to the South, and the City of Montebello to the West. It is also located over 7 miles Southeast of Downtown Los Angeles.
The city was incorporated in 1960 and has a residential community consisting of mainly single family residences built predominantly between 1920-1960. There is a limited range of housing styles which consists of mainly Traditional style homes.
